Our Curriculum

KidsCo Jr. is proud to integrate The Creative Curriculum which balances high-quality assessment, professional development, and family connection resources to create a well-rounded program.   The Creative Curriculum aligns with Maryland Model for School Readiness (MMSR) and is used to implement a developmentally appropriate program that promotes children’s social-emotional development and learning in the core areas of:

• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Studies
• The Arts

Our curriculum ties closely with our philosophy that is designed to offer children a unique and comfortable alternative to their home care.

Our Philosophy

For all of the age groups that we serve, the positive development of a child’s self-reliance and self-esteem is paramount.  Our team shows respect, affection, and personal regard in day to day interactions with children and families.   KidsCo Jr. provides many opportunities for each child to experience success, earn praise, and to develop an “I can” and “Let me try” attitude ultimately creating wonderful memories and a love of learning.

We acknowledge and accept the individual qualities of each child and his/her learning style.  Our program is child-directed drawing from the energy, curiosity, and creativity of all children with a concentration on:

• Positive Sense of Self
• Prosocial Behavior
• Problem Solving & Thinking
• Listening & Speaking
• Fine/Gross Motor Skills
