“KidsCo Jr. is designed to offer kids a unique and comfortable alternative to their home care. KidsCo Jr. is child directed and guided with an emergent curriculum. We thrive on drawing from the energy, curiosity, and creativity of the children involved in the program. All KidsCo Jr. team members will work closely with the children to provide love, stability, and guidance. We believe that it is important to provide a family style atmosphere, where everyone is safe, treated with care and respect, and where kids, parents, and the team members work together as a community.”

For all of the age groups that we serve, the positive development of a child’s self-reliance and self-esteem is paramount. Our staff shows affection and personal regard, acknowledging and accepting unique qualities of each child. KidsCo Jr. provides many opportunities for each child to experience success, to earn praise, and to develop an “I can” and “Let me try” attitude. We build positive relationships with both children and their families creating wonderful memories and a love of learning!

One way we can facilitate this feeling within our program is to make sure that we maintain a friendly and cooperative relationship with our entire community. Our KidsCo Jr. community is comprised of the surrounding cluster, school administration, neighborhoods, families, and local businesses, without which, we could not provide successful care. We are committed to be respectful of each part of this community and to provide support for them and their activities whenever we can.

KidsCo Jr. is not just a daycare facility! It is a place that fosters the stage-appropriate growth and learning of all of the children enrolled. The best way to support this is by providing meaningful experiences to learn through play and to allow the programming will be child directed.

KidsCo Jr. will have continuous documentation to highlight areas within educational curriculum, developmental objectives, as well as group and individual success. Process oriented experiences will lead the development from preoperative thinking into operative and will build pro-social behavior and self reliance. KidsCo Jr. will focus on the whole child as it relates to areas of intelligence and learning style.

We will foster connections and community within our program and will treat each child as a competent, responsible, and creative individual. A positive discipline approach will be used that implements conscious and intentional strategies to promote a culture of caring within the classroom.
